This particular bracelet is loaded with a huge amethyst and chips, rose quartz and chips, fluoride, citrine, labradorite , clear quartz and onyz chips as well as butterflies - "empowering" to wearer to summon up all the diverse energies from them for their own healing, development and comfort....

This other bracelet also has a large amethyst as a feature stone, flanked by a couple of labradorites as well as coral - some "old" family stones were incorporated alongside new amazonite, amber, fluoride, larimar, citrine, rose and clear quartz, garnet, fresh water pearls, lapiz lazuli and lemon jasper chips... with a selection of charms... a true joy to look at and a power house of aid!

1) The White Rock Arts Council new gallery space is behind schedule, which means that the sale will go on for a bit longer 1- 2 more weeks… ouch!

And lastly, this is a "Gumik"; hunters use these for luck when they go hunting in the frozen Artcic. Usually carved by a child or a beginner. This one was carved by Halúk, whom was visiting Vancouver and I met on Commercial Drive selling a number of his carvings. I also purchased an Inukshúk from him - have not found yet the right elements to combine with it.

So, there is a statement (a story) going on here with the choice for red (First Chakra) suede, the knots, the "silver", the glass... even the circular jumper rings... Hmmm! When I began with a little gift bracelet last Octoer, I never dreamt I would come this far down this particular road. Nahhh, I would have probaby said... However, I now feel I have just began.

~ Samplig of Recent Jewellery ~

Following, some insights into the energy of the choice semi-precious stones and their olour,

the glass/crystal, metals, charms and other elements as well as their symbolism ncorporated with them while creating my pieces.

(On my Aug. 14 posting I listed the colours corresponding to our different energy (Chakra) centres in their meaning.)

Bead means – Careful Aim. Middle English bede, Rosary, Bead. Prayer. Old English bed, bedu , gebed, Prayer.

Circle , as in the "toggle" clasp means – Ideogram of one. Totality. Eternal Continuity. Protective and Beneficial. Inclusive.

Rose quartz - pink: (a very "diluted" red) this did not photograph well, corresponding to the First Chakra, enhances all form of love: tender, peaceful, gentle, self/mother/romantic and platonic love... caring, kindness, nurturance. Helps attract the same. Teaches forgiveness and tolerance.

Silver: It is said to mirror the soul, strengthen the connection between astral and physical bodies, and enhance intuitive and psychic energies. Mystically considered to improve speech, bring eloquence. It is also purported to attract, enhance and store the energies of gemstones, as well as draw out negative energies. Nurturing, grounding. Is related to the moon, and moon energies.

Aventurine - Green: Fouth Chakra. Aids with creativity, imagination, independence, prosperity, career success. Especially healing of mind and body.

Gold: Associated with virtue, moral excellence, nobility of mind, happiness, strength, luck. Stimulates action, ennobles character.

Bell: Diligence. Technical and Administrative Skills. Sociability. Sagacity. Courage. Spirituality.

The Inukshuck, carved by Halúk

from a small village in Nunavut,

the same one that carved the "gumick" further bellow.

This piece has such strength on its own, I did not want any distractions, it took me weeks to find something I was going to feel completely comfortable with, thus the above utterly plain creation. Love it.
Inukshuks have a special place in my heart, no doubt.

Symbolizing: "We were here". It is used as a marker for other that follow, usually placed indicating direction taken and if it has a hollow in its centre, by looking through it the wild herds can be seen at the distance... hopefully

For some us "white folk" it has come to symbolize friendship - guidance, support...

Halúk explained to me that Inuit (formerly known as Esquimo) means People.

Inuk means One, Shuck means Unit.
My translation, All is One.

These are my very favorite items right now

The metal parts are part of a choker form the 70's, there is some of the coral you'll see in a couple of bracelets bellow, a lot of amazonite, fluorite, rose quartz, and other assorted glass beads - I did not realize until I was finished that I actually have all the chakra's colours in them - in "Kairos" tones...

PART OF THE EXPERIENCE,
has been to "recycle" old jewellery pieces that have become outdated, bellow is a mixture of such odds and ends in their new "reincarnation"...

I like this little amber "experiment", as it is part of a large
